The installer, approached me with an introduction of who he was and shook my hand, took off his sun glasses, which I appreciated, nice to read people eyes, and did so every time he spoke to me. We engaged asked natural solar to come out to do a quote and Alan was here just a couple of days afterwards. And once the quote was done and we accepted it on a Friday, we were told to expect a 2-3 week waiting time until the installation would take place. Alan however messaged me on Monday to advice installation can take place on Wednesday! Indeed the electrician turned up on Wednesday, not only on time but actually a bit early to allow time for setup. And we had the solar panels installed less than a week after accepting the quote and were able to make the most of the winter sun. The pleasant surprises didn’t stop there – the cloudy days and even rainy days, still generated energy. Not that I would have needed further convincing that the solar panels were a great investment, but to see our net energy usage crumble is still such a pleasure. We also had the Wattson monitor installed and I am excited every day to see what it is saying. I’ve learnt that kettle, toaster and oven use a lot of energy but that by turning them on at the right time (if possible) I’m using just the sun to power them. Overall, I can highly recommend Natural Solar. Alan’s customer service and promptness were exemplary and the workmanship of the solar panel installer was also great. It was neat and tidy and he worked tirelessly the entire day until everything was done. So if you are thinking of using Natural Solar, I can only say – go right ahead!

Great outcome considering the challenge they faced.

3kw, 12 panel system on double storey house. The installers met with a challenge due to existing solar panels for the hot water and the pool which took up almost all the whole of the north west facing roof. The 12 panels could not fit on this side and had to be put on the eastern roof which minimized the period of sun intake to just the morning – not good for a family of 5 and lots of evening usage. After spending 1.5 hrs and consulting back with their office they came up with the idea to use a duel inverter (luckily had one with them) and thus could feed 2 sets of panels into it. They put up 5 panels on the congested NW roof and 7 on the eastern roof. We can now utilize the sun all day long. Great outcome considering the challenge they faced.

I have recently had my solar panels installed with Natural Solar and couldn’t be happier! Chris was fantastic during the quotation process, and flexible as I defined my requirements for a 4kW system with micro-inverters. The team who performed the install was punctual and promptly answered a few questions I had at that point. I have made a number of changes around the house and to how (and when) we use our energy, including using a heat pump for hot water (on a timer), LED lighting, and more energy efficient appliances. But it is the solar panels that tie it all together. On my last bill before I made these changes, our daily average energy usage was 29kWh, and this was costing a not-so-small fortune. Since the new meter was installed 5 days ago, I’ve been able to measure our average daily energy use from the grid has dropped to just 6.4kWh (and some of the cost of this will be off-set by excess energy we have provided back to the grid). A great investment, and thank you Natural Solar for making the Solar Panel selection and install so easy.
